Demaras and William lost three children to disease. In Pittsylvania County death records show that in June of 1853, their eldest child, Wm T. M. Napier, 24 yrs and 6 mo of age; Fanny age 4 and male infant 5 days old died of Flux.
In 1865 Demaras passed away; William along with other family members moved to Quakers Gap, Stokes Co NC where in 1876, William remarried; he wed Diana Lurana "Aney" Bennett, daughter of Wm Bennett and Bettie Cook. Aney was the widow of Jesse Washington Amburn. Wm Napier died after the 1880 census but before the 1900 census where Aney is widowed.
Aney died in 1916.
