She and her husband were members of Lakewood Country Club, where they enjoyed playing golf and tennis. In addition to golf and tennis, she enjoyed reading, singing, and dancing. She was also an avid sports fan, who enjoyed watching baseball and football. In her later years, she frequented the Holiday Park Senior Center, where she attended weekly dances and participated in the Drama and Singing clubs. At the age of "ninety wonderful", she moved to the Bright View community in Mays Chapel to be near her daughter.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Alan Altimont (and Dee Cárdenas), and Terry Tamargo (and Dr. Rafael Tamargo), and three grandchildren, Dr. Rafi Tamargo, Ian Tamargo and Clementina Altimont as well as several cousins.
