On the 28th of June 1854, Hiram married his cousin, Sally P. Gerald. She was the daughter of Mark Gerald and Ruth C. Potter. She, too, was born in Canaan, Somerset, Maine on her family's farm. They were the parents of one child, Henry A., born on 14 Feb 1855. Unfortunately, he died on 02 Apr 1857, and was buried near his Gerald ancestors in Canaan's New Village Cemetery. At tome time before 1860, Hiram and Sally divorced.
On the 18th of April 1868, Hiram married Harriet "Hattie" Fish, (nee Bigalow) in Waldo County, Maine. She was the daughter of Josiah Bigalow and Susan Perkins, the widow of George A. Fish. Hiram and Hattie were the parents of one child, Burnetta Endor Gerald, born March 1872 in Burnham, Maine.
Unfortunately, Hattie passed away at the age of 60 from Enteritis.
Hiram died on 4 Jul 1912. At this time he was living in Skowhegen in the Alms Home. He was buried in Skowhegan.
