Edward H. Schaus, age 80 of St. Peter, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter.
Memorial Mass will be 11:00am Friday, March 20, 2020 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter with visitation beginning at 9:30am. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. www.saintpeterfuneralhome.com
Edward was born February 24, 1940 in St. Peter to Mathias H. and Evelyn L. (Stangler) Schaus and attended schools in St. Peter, where he graduated. Ed was united in marriage to Irene, who later died. He then married Nancy (Bieter) McCarthy who later died in 2012. Ed was employed as a CPA for Taylor Corp until retiring at age 75. He enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the St. Peter Chamber of Commerce.
Left to remember Ed are his wife, Jane; children: Lorraine Feierabend, Scott, and Cindy Anderson; 15 step-children, 3 grandchildren, numerous step grandchildren; brother: Mark (Regina); and aunt Joanne Stangler. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 wives.
