Funeral Services Held Sunday For Mrs. Owen Banes

Ina Ethelyn Anderson was born in Geneseo, Illinois, December 6, 1880, and passed away after a long illness at her home southwest of North English at the age of 62 years 10 months and 8 days.
She was the youngest child of Isaac and Amanda Young Anderson. She came to Iowa in 1887 and moved to a farm northeast of Keswick, where she resided until December 17, 1902 when she united in marriage to Owen Banes at the Methodist parsonage at Webster, Iowa. Then they moved to the place where they resided until the time of her death.
To this union was born one child, Wayne. To mourn her loss are her husband, Wayne and wife, Eva, and three grandchildren, Irene, Larry, and Lyle Banes. Also surviving her is one sister, Mrs. Lydia Henzie, from South Gate, California, and one brother, James D. Anderson, from Keytesville, Missouri, with other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her father when she was one and one-half years old, and her mother who passed away eleven years ago.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in South English, Sunday, October 17, 1943, at two o'clock. Officiating clergyman was the Rev. R. L. Brown of Keota. The Grove quartete sang "The Garden", "Sometime We'll Understand" and "We Are Going Down the Valley".
Pallbearers were: Milo Lockridge, Ralph McCombs, Walter Flancher, Charley Andes, Ira Harris, and Will Dennis. Burial was in the South English Cemetery.
