On August 26, 1960 she was married to Eddie Eugene Krebs. They shared 59 years of marriage together before he passed away on October 10, 2019.
Anita was a 1960 graduate of Pierceton High School. She worked for 6 years at Ace Hardware in Warsaw and many came to know her as being their Avon Lady for over 25 years. She proudly worked various jobs throughout her life and there wasn’t anything that she wouldn’t try her hand at. Anita worked at different factories like Jomac Gloves in Warsaw, did retail at Harvey’s, was a waitress at the Candy Cane Restaurant, and was a custodian at Hulls Transfer. She was ready to do anything she needed to help raise her family. When she wasn’t working, she loved being a den mother for the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, enjoyed volunteering her time with Meal on Wheels and the American Red Cross. Anita was a past member of Warsaw Church of God and had been attending Warsaw Community Church. Anita lived a full life and showed her love for her family in everything she did for them…she will be dearly missed.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter: Lori Riley (Warsaw, Indiana); son: Kevin Eugene Krebs (Warsaw, Indiana); granddaughter: Jennifer (Matthew) Craig (High Point, North Carolina); great-grandson: Elias Craig (High Point, North Carolina); and two brothers: Jerry Anders (Pierceton, Indiana); Alan (Wanda) Anders (Pierceton, Indiana). She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two half-sisters.
Anita’s life will be celebrated with a private funeral service on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Ronnie Patrick and Pastor Jamy Gregory. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw. There will be time for visiting prior to the service from 11:00 -1:00 p.m. with her service at 1:00 p.m. The family has requested that the times be published and that though the service is listed as private for close family, friends that feel that they need to come and give their condolences will not be turned away. We remain committed and prepared to safely care for the families we serve during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and want to stay within the government’s guidelines. Whenever possible, Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home will continue to enable families to participate in the rituals that are most important to them and allow them to be able to say their final good-bye to their loved one.
