Obituary for C. Alton "Al" Middleton
C. Alton “Al” Middleton, 79, of Nichols passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 13, 2020 following a brief illness. Al was born on May 7, 1940 in Endicott, NY a son of the late John A. and Mary (Goon) Middleton.

He was a graduate of Tioga Central High School and had worked at his father’s machine shop in Nichols. He retired from IBM/Lockheed Martin following 25 years of service.

On December 1, 1961, he married Sheila Gavitt and together they have shared 58 years of marriage. Al and Sheila enjoyed visiting with friends at the diner and traveling the countryside on their motorcycle.

Al will be greatly missed by his wife Sheila; his son David Middleton of Vestal, NY; a daughter Robin Campbell of Nichols; his grandsons: Ryan and Randy Campbell; a sister and brother-in-law: Amy (Fred) Snyder; Sheila’s siblings: sisters-in-law: Sandra Henline and Sharon Witt; brother-in-law Gary Gavitt.

Abiding with his wishes, there will be no services.
