Leroy P. Matkins, who has been making his home with his son, Harry Matkins, 312 West Ninth street, Davenport, died at 9:30 a. m. today at Mercy hospital after a month's illness. He was born in Macon, Mo., and was 80 years old. Mr. Matkins had been a resident of Davenport for many years. His son is the only survivor. The body was taken to the Halligan funeral home.
