Died.

At his home in Rome, Kans., Nov. 24th, 1886, Walter Scott Brothers, aged 24 years, 3 months and eleven days.

But a few days before his death, he left home in company with a few friends, only to return to died. A short time spent with father, mother, brothers and sisters, and the flush of youth was changed to the paleness of death. Thus another link is severed, another family tie is broken; one vacant chair, one clear voice that has ceased, only to sound in phantom echos, when the oft footstep is heard at the door.

The deceased was born in Shelby county, Ill., and with his parents moved to Kansas in 1866. Joined the Christian church in Sept. 1884, of which organization he has since been a member.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E.T. Bogges at the Presbyterian church, in Rome, Kansas, on Thursday, Nov. 25, 1886.
