Albert Barton Cessna, 75, retired Allegany County roads foreman, died on Tuesday, August 28, at his home in Cumberland. Mr. Cessna who retired from service after he suffered a stroke 8 years ago, was seriously ill for the past three weeks.
He was born in Centerville, but had lived in Cumberland for 35 years. Besides his widow, Mrs. Molly (Sommerlatt) Cessna, he is survived by six grandchildren; Carl Cessna, Narrows, Va.; Mrs. Lena Skiper, Baltimore; Mrs. Irene Basnight, Manteo, N.C.; Adolph Cessna, Cumberland, Clyde Cessna, Shade’s Lane and Paul Cessna of Cumberland.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home with the Rev. George E. Baughman of the First Methodist Church officiating. Interment, Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
