Visitation Saturday at 10 am until 1 pm, at Southern Cremations & Funerals at Cheatham Hill with Nick Grui reading scripture.
Franklin was born in Canton, GA to Earnest Eugene Ford and Velma Onalda Abernathy on May 1. 1930. He went to Rockmart High, married Melba Elizabeth Gladney in November 1955, at Aragon UMC, Aragon, GA.
He worked for Lockheed Aircraft Corp. for 37 years, where he retired. He was an Army Veteran during the Korean War.
Survived by wife Melba Ford; daughters, Beth Wells, Diane Bucy and son-in-law, Randy Bucy; brother, Harry (Doris) Ford; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
