~ Susan Collins was the wife of the Rev. Ray Collins and the mother of 11 children. Salvation in Christ came to her as a young woman at a Salvation Army crusade. She met her husband Ray by giving him a drink of water, while he was on the run from the police before he was redeemed of God. According to her, it was love at first sight. They ended up courting and eventually marrying. She worked diligently alongside her husband in his ministry and nurtured the people that attended the churches they pastored throughout North Carolina for 50 years. On Sunday mornings, she would cook for and clean up the poorer children that would catch the church bus, to get them ready for church service. She loved God and humanity. She was a tiny lady in stature, but a giant for Jesus! Her favorite Psalm was the 91st, of which she could recite EVERY word, and her favorite song was: "No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus". At the time she went Home(Heaven),she had 45 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. ~
