UNITED STATES ARMY VETERAN

Daniel Paul Burkhart, of Hughesville, died Thursday, March 19, 2020, at The Gatehouse. He was a son of the late Paul G. and Dorothy Joyce (Smith) Burkhart.

Danny was a graduate of Liberty High School, Class of 1984 and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm. He was a member of the American Legion Post 35, Hughesville, and the Muncy VFW. In his free time Danny enjoyed playing guitar, singing and writing his own music. He also loved his bearded dragons.

Surviving are his companion of over 10 years, Tammy Munson of Hughesville; a daughter, Amy K. Esposito of Williamsport; a stepdaughter, Jennifer of Kansas; a stepson, Steven of Williamsport; two sisters, Beth J. Burkhart of Liberty, and Sherry P. Osmond of Montoursville; and four grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors.
