Mike Dorety, 68, of Crowley, Texas passed away March 20, 2020. He was born June 7, 1951 in Grapevine, Texas to Clarence James Dorety and Billie Jo (Lester) Dorety.

He served his country and community first in the United States Marines Corps for six years and then for thirty-nine years with the Dallas Fire Department, retiring in 2010. He was a member of the Dallas Firefighters Association IAFF Local 58 and an active rider with the Wind & Fire Motorcycle Club, a member of the Burleson Masonic Lodge #649 and American Legion Post #235 of Burleson. For many years he was committed as an officer and member of the Kit Cemetery Association of Irving where many of his family are interned and he himself will be buried.

Survived by his wife, Susan Russell Dorety; his children, Michael Dorety and Heather Dorety Ehmer, three grand children and his four sisters, Vicki Stover, Cynthia Dean, Lisa McDonald and Deborah Johnson.

A small and private Family Gathering and Committal Service will occur April 8, 2020 at the Kit Cemetery in Irving, Texas...BRFH
