MUNCIE--Elma Faye Gibson, 66, Muncie, passed away Sunday afternoon, Jan. 14, 2007 at Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born in Yorktown, March 13, 1940, the daughter of Lena Myrtle (Warfel) Neal and John Neal. Elma Faye grew up on Yorktown and attended Yorktown High School. She worked at Westbrook Country Club, the Flamingo and Yorkies Lounge.
Survivors include six children, Phillip Norton, Deborah Norton-McFall, Douglas Norton, Dennis Norton (wife: Patricia_, Greg Norton and Michelle Gibson-Slaven; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carolyn Neal; one niece, Norina Wagoner; one nephew; and three longtime friends, Joyce, Marilyn and Charlotte.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lena M. Warfel Booth; her father, John Neal; and one brother, Ralph W. Neal.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday or after 12 noon on Thursday.
