David R. Kumbier, 39, of Watertown, died on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. Anthony Schultz and the Rev. Mark Gartner officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, Watertown.

Friends and relatives may call to pay their respects at the Hafmeister Funeral Home in Watertown on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

David was born Jan. 3, 1967, in Watertown, son of Wilfred and Margaret (Timm) Kumbier. He married Rebecca Knight on Sept. 10, 1994, at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown.

David attended Douglas Elementary School and was a 1985 graduate of Watertown High School. He had been employed at Evald Moulding Company in Watertown. He had also been owner and operator of Mainline Rubber Company in Watertown and was currently employed at Centerline Industries in Waterloo.

David was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Watertown. He had been a football and baseball coach for Watertown Park and Recreation Little League teams.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, restoring automobiles, camping and was an avid Packer fan. David loved spending time with this children.

Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Kumbier of Watertown; three sons, Justin Kumbier, Aaron Kumbier and Ryan Kumbier; a sister, Nancy (Richard) Braasch of Lake Mills; four brothers, Alan (Cindy) Kumbier, Michael (Kaya) Kumbier, Jim (Tera) Kumbier and Scott (Sharon) Kumbier, all of Watertown; his mother-in-law, Merriky Knight of Watertown; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brent (Tammy) Knight of Watertown; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, David Knight.
