Passed peacefully away on March 7, 2004 at his home in Indian Bay, George T. Ackerman in his 88th year.
Predeceased by his wife, Margaret Ackerman (Parsons), son-in-law, Edwin Hunt, parents, Ida and Job Ackerman; sister, Florence Hunt; brothers, Ebert Ackerman and Matthias Ackerman.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughters, Sadie Hunt and Ada (Peter Parsons), both of Indian Bay; eight grandchildren, Christine, Beverly, Brenda, George, Margaret, Katherine, Michelle, Peter; 15 great-grandchildren Lori-Ann, Amy, Eddie, Lynnette, Margaret Jane, Brett, Kayla, Melanie, Evan, Katherine Joy, Jalyssa, Delavan Peter, Dylan, Lucas, Emilie; and two great-great-grandchildren, Brandan and Shayne.
Funeral service was held on March 10th at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Indian Bay, with Rev. Sam Rose officiating, assisted by Rev. Russell Osmond and Rev. Harry Spurrell. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Indian Bay.
