Annette was born in Panama Iowa to a German mother, Eleanor, and a Irish father Thomas. She grew up there on a farm till her teen years when the family moved to Omaha, Nebraska. She attended nursing school there and met her husband Tike Strathman. They wed in Los Angeles at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on November.
Annette lived and raised their family in Pocahontas Iowa. She had 6 children. She helped Tike at the photography Studio in Pocahontas and they were in the poultry business for a while too. Annette used her nursing during Red cross blood drives. She was a skillful seamstress and avid golfer.
