Funeral services for Wilmoth Doris Benefield, 81, of Atoka, Oklahoma were held Thursday, November 14, 1996 at 2:00pm at the Atoka Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Holland officiating.

Burial was in Green Meadows Cemetery under the direction of Atoka Funeral Home.

A former secretary at the Atoka County Courthouse, she died November 13, 1996 at Atoka, OK.

Born February 3, 1915 at Antlers, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Elijah Gilbert Baker and Mary Kate Sprewell Baker. She was of the Baptist faith.

Wilmoth was married to Joe A. Benefield at Antlers, Oklahoma on February 13, 1941. He preceded her in death.

May I add that this lady and her husband Joe were very nice people and well liked. They always treated me good and it was at their home I spent my very 1st Thanksgiving away from my own family because I was going with Tommy at the time. That was a nice day I'll never forget.
