Janie Abell, 80, died November 27, 2016 in Juno Beach, Florida.

Mrs. Abell was born in Louisville, Kentucky and moved to St. Lucie County in 1960.

Janie was a Registered Nurse with Lawnwood Regional Medical Center for 20 years. She loved playing golf, walking and spending time with her friends on Belfry Place.

Survivors include her children, David Abell of North Palm Beach, FL and Kaki (Clifford) Mizialko of Hawthorn Woods, IL; 2 grandchildren, Alex Abell of New York City and Hannah Mizialko; and brothers and sisters, Bart Brown of Phoenix, AZ, Tommy Brown, Mary Ann Quesenberry, Kathleen Kelley, and Joseph Brown all of Louisville, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Embry Abell.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bella's Angels, P.O. Box 1562, Jupiter, FL 33468.

Services: A Memorial Mass will be held on January 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service. An online guest book may be signed at www.haisleyfuneralhome.com
