She was born August 25, 1929 in New Madrid, Missouri, daughter of the late Ralph Tanner and Viola Garrison Tanner.
She worked in management for the manufacturing industry before retiring.
She was married to Mainord Putnam, he preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one daughter, Brenda Pegram of Goldendale, Washington; and one brother, Cletus Tanner of Sikeston.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Geneva Lyles, Charlie Tanner, Carleatha Johnson, Iva Hubbard, and Kenneth Tanner.
