Charles M. Moorehead Jr., 81, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016. He was born on February 3, 1935, to the late Charles M. and Ada (Culp) Mooorehead Sr.
As a young man, Charles served in the United States Army. Afterwards, he worked as a set up man for the former AP Parts for 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 110, B.A. Sportsman Club, and U.A.W. Local 14.
Charles loved repairing TV's, riding motorcycles, camping, and fishing. He would enjoy helping set up for Paws and Whiskers Cat Shelter fund raisers.
He is survived by his former wife and caretaker, Wilma (David Brewer) Gerken; his children, Melody (Kimberly Mero) Quisenberry and Charles M. Moorehead III; grandchildren, Rachel McIntosh, Donnie and Ian Quisenberry, and Brooklyn and Dylan Hinton; sister, Marlin (Jack) Horner; and brother, James Moorehead. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Marjorie Rose and Jeannine Luce.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 , from 2 to 8 p.m. at the David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., Toledo, OH 43611. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
