Irene Blair, age 71 of Sterling, NE passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Bryan LGH East Medical Center in Lincoln, NE.
Lola Irene Horner was born on December 29, 1948 in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of Francis C. and Lola Bell (Perkins) Horner. She grew up and attended school in Nebraska City.
She was united in marriage to Jerry James Blair on July 10, 1981 in Nebraska City.
Irene worked at various jobs over the years, including at Campbell Soup in Tecumseh where she worked for 27 years. She also worked in housekeeping for Super 8 Motel and at the Johnson County Hospital. She retired in July of 2011.
She is survived by her son Jerry Blair II and wife Adriana of Platte City, MO and daughter Michelle Blair Smith and husband Michael of Richland, WA; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; mother Lola Bell Horner of Sterling, NE; brother Allen Horner and wife Christina of Summerfield, KS; three nieces and two nephews; other family and friends.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband on February 15, 2014; her father on January 12, 1988 and granddaughter Jerene Blair on August 5, 1996.
