Born April 25, 1918 in Omaha, Nebraska, Ruth Lasley came to reside at the VFW National home in 1928 with her mother, Mrs. Bernice Lasley and four sisters.
A graduate of Eaton Rapids High school, she became employed at the Eaton Stamping company for some time prior to her illness.
She was survived by her husband, James R. (Reggie); two sons, James W. with the Army Air Force in Florida and Henry at home; three daughters, Jane, Carolyn and Regina Jo, all at home, her mother, and stepfather, Mr. & Mrs. Harold VanAken of Jackson; four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Bullen of Mason, Mrs. Josephine Rodosovisch of Arlington, VA., Mrs. Wanda Price of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Wilma Davidson of Eaton Rapids; and her grandmother, Mrs. Martha Collins of Eaton Rapids.
Funeral services were conducted from the Skinner Funeral home.
