James Reginald 'Reg' Johnson, age 89, of Eaton Rapids, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2006 at the Moore Adult Foster Care Home in Charlotte.
Born December 24, 1916 in Eaton Rapids, the son of James R. and Ora D. (Holcomb) Johnson Sr. He was an Eaton Rapids High School graduate, class of 1934, and served in the Army during World War II.
Retired farmer and Millwright as well as a Union Stewart for the Dana Corporation, retiring in 1978. He was preceded in death by his two wifes, Ruth Noreen Lasley of 21 years in 1957 and Patsie L. Lewis of 42 years in 2001; daughter, Ruth Ann and 3 sons, Richard, Bud and Bill Johnson.
He is survived by 6 children, Jayne (Henry) Lane; Darlene (David) Niethammer; Michelle (Mike) Spence; Gina (David) Harwood; Robert (Carole) Johnson and Carolyn Manna; 22 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
