William immigrated here in 1637 and was a founder of New Haven in 1638. Abijah was a brother of Abigail Peck Bard. He became the pastor of the Clifton Park Baptist church. He married Mindwell Close first and Lydia Montgomery, former wife of Elias Montgomery second. He lived to 91 yrs. and is buried in section C08. See also, Descendants of Joseph Peck book p. 390-392, although this is another Peck line.
His grandson CK Peck is purportedly the person for whom Fort Peck, Montana was named. He was a partner with Elias Hicks Durfee there. E.H. Durfee was the elder of the two partners of Durfee & Peck being 3 years older than C.K. Peck. Each man married one of the Higbie sisters of Penfield, N.Y., making them brothers-in-law. The sisters also descended from the Clifton Park Pecks as did C.K. Peck.
