Rev. Springer Dies, Services Set Wednesday

SARGENT, NEBRASKA - The Rev. Ivan R. Springer, 47, pastor of the Sargent-Walworth Methodist Churches, died Monday at Grand Island, Nebraska.

The Rev. Springer attended Hastings College, the University of Nebraska and the University of Omaha. He received his BA degree from Denver University and his BD from Garrett Theolocial Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. He had served Methodist churches in Indiana and the Crookston and Kilgore Methodist Churches in Nebraska before going to Sargent in 1960.

Mrs. Springer is the former Shirley Buettenbach of Lincoln, Nebraska. An eight-month-old son, Wesley, also survives.

Services for Rev. Springer will be held at Sargent Church on Wednesday at 2 p.m. and at the Grace Methodist Church in Lincoln on Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Lincoln's Fairview Cemetery.
