Lillie Bell Grant English, 66, of Pensacola passed away Sunday, August 5, 2007 following a battle with cancer.
Lillie was born January 23, 1941 in Robinsonville, Alabama. She graduated from Escambia County Training High School and received her Licensed Practical Nurse training from Pensacola Junior College.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Ned English of Pensacola; two daughters, Tange English of Stone Mountain, GA and Tonge English of Douglasville, GA; son, Ned English Jr. of Smyrna, GA; two sisters, Climmie Lindsey Johnson of Freemanville, Alabama and Evelyn Grant of Milton; mother-in-law, Clara English of Pensacola; six sisters-in-law, Ida Grant of Pensacola, Edna Grant of Freemanville, AL, Ida Frye of Atmore, Alice (Russell) Bates of Stone Mountain, GA, Judith (Alex) Johnson of Houston, TX and Linda (Terry) Means of Pensacola; six brothers-in-law, Forest English III, Otis English Sr., Benell (Jeanette) English, and Burnell English, all of Pensacola and Thomas English of Charleston, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Mt. Gillead Missionary Baptist Church in Freemanville, AL with Elder Sydney Grant, pastor of New Order Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Shilo Baptist Church Cemetery located in Nokomis, AL.
Public viewing will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at Joe Morris & Son Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Otis English Jr., Mack Salter, Jamarro English, Marcus Salter, Reginald English, Lameak White and Phillip Marvin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Benell English, Thomas English, Forest English, Eddie Lindsey, Otis English Sr. and Eddie Snell.
