Louise “Granny” Franks Adams, 87, of Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Tillman and Jessie Trantham Franks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Matthew Melton, and her daughters, Joyce Willis, Susie Anderson, and Jessie Patterson.

She is survived by her daughters and son in law, Loretta Carver, Sandra and Doyle Orr, all of Robbinsville, NC, and Margaret Wilson of Athens, TN; her sons, Mitch Hasley of Bryson City, NC, and Ernest Lee Scroggs of Clayton, GA; and her sister, Catherine Mason of Franklin, NC. She has 18 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, and 1 great great great grandchild.

Due to the potential exposure to the COVID 19 virus and Executive Order 121 issued by NC Governor Roy Cooper, the family will have a private graveside service at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Old Mother Cemetery. Reverend Daniel Stewart will officiate.
