ABBOTT, WANDA JOYCE TEEKEL A resident and native of Denham Springs, she died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, in Denham Springs. She was 45. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home chapel, Denham Springs, from 9 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, conducted by Brother Benny Jones and the Rev. Wes Courtney. Burial in Evergreen Memorial Park, Denham Springs. She is survived by her father, H. Percy Teekel of Denham Springs; children, Carey Abbott of Hammond and Corey Abbott of Denham Springs; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Freddie Gauthier of Denham Springs and Madeline and Fred Brooks of Walker; brothers and a sister-in-law, David and Sharon Teekel and John Teekel, all of Denham Springs; and grandchild, Cade LeBlanc. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Joyce Lockhart Teekel; husband, Richard Thomas Abbott; and grandparents, Owen and Edith Lockhart and John and Janie Teekel. Pallbearers will be Chard Gauthier, Chase Gauthier, Ruben Spillman Sr., Louis Spillman, Lloyd Blount and Jerome Teekel. She was a member of Eden Baptist Church.
