Gene Allen Arms, age 75, of Wellston, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at his home. He was born April 24, 1940 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Clarence E. and Clara Decker Arms. Gene was a 1958 graduate of Wellston High School. He was a retired auto body mechanic who enjoyed working on cars. Gene is survived by his children, Randy Arms of Wellston, Marty Arms of Kingston, Darren Arms of Hamden, Ada Cupp of McArthur and Gene Arms, Jr. of Wellston; brother, Vic Arms of Hamden; sisters, Carolyn Crump of Texas and Virginia Beatty of Tennessee, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Gene was preceded in death by infant brother, Glen Arms; brother, Dale Arms; and sisters, Beverly Varney and Betty Burns. In keeping with Gene's request, there will be no public services and his body will be cremated. For those who wish, memorial contributions in Gene's name can be given to a favorite charity of one's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.
