Daniel Jasper Fair IV, 78, of Ft Collins, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019. Born in Sterling, Kansas on February 17th, 1941. Dan was the son of the late Daniel Jasper "D.J." Fair III and Maurine Pearce Fair. Dan graduated from Sterling High School and from University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts.

In the middle of his degree at KU, he was called to service by the United States Army for the Vietnam war. He went to boot camp at Fort Belvoir, Virginia and then he began his career as an artist with the Army as an illustrator during the war. After the war he went back to being a Kansas Jayhawk to finish his Fine Arts degree in 1966.

Dan spent his career putting his artistic skills to work as a draftsman, illustrator, artist, and to all other areas of his life in Denver, Aspen, Greeley and Ft Collins, Colorado.

In 1983, he married Roshan Zare, in Denver, CO. Dan is survived by his wife Roshan, his daughter, Katie Khayet and granddaughter, Mila Khayet, and his daughter Jeanne Fair and daughter-in-law, Laura Marsh. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by this sister, Sue Ryan of Oklahoma.

Dan had a devotion to his deep faith and fellowship within the Bahá'í community and Dan was most loyal to his family. Dan was an avid follower of the Colorado sports teams and the University of Kansas Jayhawks. Dan received his greatest joy from creating art in all mediums. Dan loved all of his friends over the years, and he always wanted everyone to know how much he valued them.

A memorial service and reception for Daniel Jasper Fair IV, 78, of Ft. Collins, CO will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S. HWY 287, Ft Collins, at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 31, 2019.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can me made to Pathways Hospice, 305 Carpenter Road, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
