Tillie Sedlacek, 80, a former resident of Cedar Rapids, died Friday at the Solon Care Center after a long illness.
Born July 2, 1901, in Cedar Rapids, she married Milo J. Sedlacek. He died on Sept. 19, 1955. She was employed for many years by Armstrong's Department Store.
Survivors include a son, Jack of Solon; a daughter, Patricia Metcalf of O'Fallon, Ill.; five grandcchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Rose Luchterhand of Cedar Rapids.
Services; 11 a.m. Tuesday at Turner Chapel West by the Rev. Dennis Tevis of Solon United Methodist Church. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from noon to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday. The family will greet friends at the chapel between 7 and 8 p.m. Monday. Contributions may be made to the Solon Care Center. Arrangements by Turner Chapel East, where renovation caused the shift to Turner Chapel West.
