His stone is reported to have no dates his parents are William and Sarah Benedict Bouton he married Miss Harriet Sherman the daughter of Levi John Sherman and granddaughter of Roger Sherman by whom he had two children, Miss Mary Anne P. Bell daughter of Gov, John Bell by whom he had five children, Miss Elizabeth Anne Cilley daughter of Horatio Gates Cilley, by whom survives him and he has six children . Of all his children nine survive; Elizabeth Webster (Prof. J.C. Webster) of Chester, Nathaniel Sherman of Chicago Il, John Bell of New York City, Ny, Harriet Sherman Noyes ( Hon. J.W. Noyes) of Chester, Samuel Fletcher and Charles Bell of Chicago, Il, Sarah Cilley Patterson (Gen. J.N. Patterson), Martha Cilley (widow of J.G. Cilley) and Jane Louise

He was preceded in death by the following children: Mary Anne Persis Bell (widow of Gen Louis Bell), William Horatio, Joseph Bradbury, and Annie Cilley of Concord.
