Richard Paul Hines, much beloved father, son, brother, and uncle, passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 26th. There are no words to convey how broken are our hearts, how deep and unfathomable is our loss. Paul was a lifelong learner, always reading, always curious, and always ready to share his opinion! Like his father before him, Paul was happiest in his garden. He loved all kinds of music, was an enthusiastic tennis player and fan, and loved all things Memphis.

Paul was predeceased by his father, Harry Hines. Paul leaves his beloved son, Cameron McLearie; his mother, Joyce Lacy, with whom he shared a love of horse racing, good wine, and San Francisco; his two big sisters, Carole Hines (Mavis) and Nancy VanCleve (Gene), who forgave him for being the cutest; his niece, Erin Nolen (Corey), his nephew, Andy VanCleve (Kelly), and four great-nephews and one great-niece. He will be missed also by many old and dear friends, who loved him well, as he loved them.

And one day, all the sad things will come untrue.
