MRS. LILLIAN BROWN
Of 2620 Walnut avenue, died at 2:20
o'clock this morning at her home.
Mrs. Brown was born Feb. 28,
1895. at Houston, Tex., a daughter
of Abe and Amy (Remmit) Jones.
Her husband. Benjamin, died Oct.
12, 1952. Surviving are eight children,
Mrs. Naomi Tucker, Miss
Dorothy and Mrs. Juanita Whitfield
of Baltimore, Md., Benjamin J.
of Philadelphia, Mrs. Mamie Carr
of Altoona, Miss Elanora of Chicago,
IL., and Nathaniel and Mrs.
Julia Smith, at home; six grandchildren
and three sisters, Mrs. Nellie
Johnson and Mrs. Anna I
Green of Houston and Mrs. Effie
Yancy of Philadelphia. Mrs. Brown
was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist
church. Friends will be received
at the Laughlin funeral home after
7 o'clock Wednesday evening.
