EASLEY - December 22 - James Andrew Morrison, 57, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Flora Morrison Harris of Easley, Route 1, near Pope Field, at an early hour Thursday morning. He had been in declining health for one year, but death was unexpected.

Mr. Morrison, son of the late Lew King Morrison and Sarah Salome Morgan Ducker Morrison, was a native of Anderson County. He had made his home near Easley for the past five years. He was a retired textile employee and was employed in the spinning room of the Piedmont Mill before his retirement. Mr. Morrison was a member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church in Easley.

Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Flora Morrison Harris, Easley, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at Robinson Funeral Home at 3pm Friday by the Rev. J. H. Ellis. Burial will be in the Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery near Liberty. Pallbearers will be Luther Morrison, Garlon Morrison, J. P. Morrison, Louis Ducker, Paul Ducker and Paul Wakester.

Honorary escort will be Welborn King, L. C. Greer, Guy King, J. L. Johnson, Frank Finely and Harley Morrison.

The body is at the funeral home.
