Barbara Jean Aaron, 79, of Topsail Beach, NC formerly of Melrose died unexpectedly in New Hanover Regional Medical Center in North Carolina.
She was born in Stoneham daughter of the late Harry and Mabel Aaron. She was a resident of Melrose for several years until moving to Topsail, North Carolina.
Barbara was best known as the operator and manager of the Old Dockside at Wrightsville Beach. She lived in Topsail where she loved to crab fish and feed the ducks. She raised poodles most of her adult life.
Mrs. Aaron was a graduate of Melrose High School where she excelled in sports. She was a champion swimmer at the age of 14. She enjoyed snow skiing and was on the first womens hockey team while in high school.
Sister of the late Harry Aaron, Jr. Aunt of Linda Aaron Zambri Pahl and her husband Rodney of Lowell and Joseph Aaron of Westford. Sister-in-law of Anne Aaron of Westford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, Tuesday. May 18 at 10:30 AM.
Interment in Wyoming Cemetery
