And grandchildren: Ira; Edmond; Edwin and Hopkins of Putnam Co.; (dau) Sally, wife of Frederick Knox of North Salem; (son) Charles of Trumbull, Ashtabula Co. Ohio; Horace Cole, grandson of same place; Norman grandson of same place.

Reuben was a member of the 7th Regt. Dutchess County Militia during the last years of the Revolution and in 1806 was a captain in Lt Colonel James Townsend's 61st Regt. Dutchess county Militia. His father-in-law was in the same regiment during the Revolution.
