Becky Anne Tubbs, 47, of Kansas City, Kansas, died
May 7th 2012, at Medicalodge Post Acute Care Center.

Becky was born September 25th, 1964, in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the third of five children born to Adrian Parris and Evelyn (Parris) Clark. She is survived by her mother, her siblings Carolyn McCarthy, Darryl Parris, Mary Vavricek, and Curtis Parris, her three children Dustin, Jonathon, and Cole Tubbs, her stepmother Pamela Parris, and her half brothers and sister, Luke, Adam, and Megan Parris. She was preceded in death by her father (2010).

Becky was diagnosed in the second grade with a terminal illness and was given 4 years to live by her doctors. When she was in fifth grade, the disease went into remission and she lived a relatively healthy life. She graduated from Turner High School and then went to Johnson County Community College to receive an Associates degree in Restaurant and Hotel Management with a minor in Culinary Arts. She worked as an auditor at Drury Inn, and then later became a Para-Educator for Muncie Elementary School. After being married and having three children, Becky got her CNA and started to pursue a career in nursing when her disease came out of remission in 1997. Her main illnesses were lupus and end stage kidney failure. She was in and out of KU Medical Center and resided at Medicalodge Post Acute Care Center for the past six years.
Dustin, her oldest son, is a mechanic and lives at the Lake of the Ozarks, Jonathon is going to be a sophomore at the University of Kansas, and Cole, her youngest, is a freshman at Washington High School and resides with Becky's brother Darryl and his wife Kendra.
