PORTSMOUTH - David Alan McCain passed away June 3, 2010 with his family by his side. He was born in Portsmouth on April 30, 1957 to Jacqueline "Jackie" Ward Strobel and the late F.H. "Mac" McCain.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his children, Meghan, Mallory and Nathan McCain, all of Portsmouth; brother, Doug McCain; sisters, Janet Bartley and Kathy Triplett and husband Heyward; nieces and nephews, Katelyn, Amy, Jay and Brian; stepsister, Laurie Reisenbichler; and stepbrothers, Mike and Tim Fulton.

David was a lifelong resident of Portsmouth and was an auto body technician. He loved watching NASCAR racing with his brother and his many close friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, June 7, at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Online condolences can be made at www. SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
