Elizabeth was born in The Warren, Polperro, Cornwall and was baptized in Talland Parish Church on 28 Oct 1855. She was the daughter of William Henry Curtis and Elizabeth (nee Swartman.) She married John A'Lee in St George's, Everton on 13 May 1877.

ALEE - November 29, at 317, Westminster-road, ELIZABETH, the beloved wife of the late John Alee of Polperro, Cornwall. Interment at Anfield Cemetery, tomorrow (Wednesday), at 2.30 p.m. Cornish papers please copy.

Elizabeth was buried in the same grave as her daughter Florence who had died just a fortnight earlier.
