Elizabeth Catherine Hampshire was the daughter of Valentine Waltman and Catherine Brucker.

The reference to Rev. Gray may be Andrew Gray, a well known Methodist clergyman who was active in the area. His grave is listed and nicely photographed in the nearby South Sparta cemetery site.
