Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for Albert R. Burghart, 62, Route 1, Silver Lake, who died Thursday in a Topeka hospital, where he had been a patient since July 20. He had a heart ailment and emphysema, a lung aliment.
He was born August 9, 1905 in Topeka and spent most of his life in Shawnee County.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a carpenter before he retired.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Penny Burghart, at home; a step daughter, Mrs. Dale Vanderwater, Leon, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Susie B. Eiker [Bieker], 213 Van Buren; four brothers, George Burghart, 2011 Atwood, Joseph Burghart, 209 E. Curtis, Paul Burghart, 1820 Arnold, and Ralph Burghart, 2033 High; and three grandchildren.
Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Burghart will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Brennan Funeral Home where parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
