Rosco Howard, 87, Pierceton, Indiana, passed away April 24, 2020 at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana. One of nine children, Rosco was born on March 17, 1933 in Saylersville, Kentucky to Bass and Dollie (Allen) Howard.

Rosco owned and operated a timber buying and logging company for forty-three years. He also owned and worked on his farm. Rosco was the example of a hard worker and even towards the end he continued as much as his body would allow him. Rosco felt the loss of three sons and two wives. He first married Nora Conley on May 7, 1954 in Saylersillve, Kentucky. She later passed away on February 18, 1990 after 35 years of marriage. Lucky enough to find a companion again, Rosco married Bernice Wright Taylor on March 16, 1996 and she passed away shortly after their nine year anniversary on April 12, 2005. Rosco was an avid fisherman and squirrel hunter. His real love however, was his family and his church.

The memory of Rosco will be forever remembered by his sons, Wayne (Ramona) Howard, Pierceton, Ralph Howard, Pierceton; two daughters, Pauline (James) Hoover, Pierceton, Lena (Roger) West, Pierceton; one brother Monroe (Mimia) Howard, Printer, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, three sons, Timothy, Randall, and Eddie Howard; three brothers, Sammy, Cisco, and Lonzo Howard; and four sisters, Essalonia Howard, Virgie Hale, Betty Allen, and Arizonia Mullins.
