Born June 15, 1943, in Berlin, West Germany, he was the son of the late Magaretta (Hertwig) and Kurt Molt. In 1972, he married the former Eileen Isett in Thalmaessing, Germany.
Surviving are two children, Carsten Molt of Pittsburgh and Amanda Mhadhbi and husband, Majid of Huntingdon and two grandchildren, Amira and Yaseen Mhadhbi, Huntingdon.
Mr. Molt immigrated to the U.S. in June 1972.
He founded Gateway Travel Center in Huntingdon and later opened offices in Lewistown and Hollidaysburg.
Upon his retirement, he hosted tours to Europe and North Africa. In 2004, he established a home in Tunisia, North Africa, and continued to lead tours to Europe, mainly Germany, for several years.
It was Mr. Molt’s request to be interred in Hammamet Christian Cemetery, Tunisia.
