Mary Ann Lambert, 90, of Gosport, passed away at Franciscan Hospice House on Saturday, April 25, 2020.
She was born in Owen County on December 31, 1929, daughter of Ray Smith and Pauline Bowman Smith. She married Ronald L. Lambert, who preceded her in death in 1961.
She retired after 33 years at AT&T as a telephone operator. She also was a recording secretary for the AFL–CIO union.
Mary Ann loved being outside in her garden, cooking, and baking pies for her family. Her family and friends meant everything to her, and she enjoyed spending time with them. She worshiped at the First Christian Church in Bloomington.
Mary Ann is survived by her children, Deborah and Chris; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Patty Sue.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Stanley Lambert; and brother, Dan V. Smith.
A graveside service will be held at Gosport Cemetery.
