She had been employed by the A. B. Chance Company for 44 years and had been a 60 year member of the Pettyville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida, Word Search Puzzles and faithfully read her Bible everyday.
She is survived by her son, Rodney Jackson of Mineral Wells; Her stepson, Carlin B. Jackson of Oregon and her stepdaughter, Marcella Rake of Parkersburg. Many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlin Jackson; Two daughters, Sharon George and Charlotte Whiting; Two stepdaughters, Avonell Pierce and Elaine Barkley; Two brothers, Russell and William Corbin; Three sisters, Hazel Bartlett, Florence Sommerville and Mildred Duckworth.
There will be private graveside service for the immediate family Thursday at 1:00pm at the Evergreen South Cemetery with Pastor Jamie Sprague officiating.
The Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
