David Boyle Dead.
After a long illness produced by a complication of maladies aggravated greatly by the enfeebled vitality of age, David Boyle breathed his last on Sunday morning, May 24, at 6:30. His death occurred at the residence, 220 South Gove street, from which home the funeral will be held from this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Dr. J.H. Cudlipp officiating. The interment will be in Highland cemetery.
David Boyle was born in Boyle county, Kentucky, on January 6, 1825. He came to Fort Dearborn, Ill., with his parents, Nov. 8, 1828; located in Putnam county, Ind., one year later. He removed to Wichita in February 1884.
Mr. Boyle was the youngest and last of nine brothers and sisters. He was married to Lavina Mathis May 22, 1845. There were born to them eight children of whom six are now living, as follows: Henry C. Boyle, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. E. Victoria Wilcox, Minonk, Ill.; Reese Boyle, Wichita; Mrs. Ettie Wright, Chicago; Mrs. Jennie Balderston, Greeley, Colo. All of these children save only Mrs. Wright were at his bedside when he died. He was married the second time to Mary Jane Marsh, September 13, 1888. He had been a member of the Methodist church since 1850.
