Nellie Gloria Yvonne Cooper Thomas of Talihina, OK, passed away on April 23rd, 2020 at her home in Talihina, OK at the age of 92. Gloria was born to George and Ada Cooper on October 26th, 1927 in Apple, OK. She graduated from Hugo High School in 1945 and married Dee Thomas on February 15th, 1947 in Talihina, OK. Gloria worked in retail sales and was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, crafts, and spending time with family. Gloria attended Victory Baptist Church in Talihina.
Gloria is survived by her son, Richard Jay Thomas and wife, Karen of Mead, OK; stepson, Jerry Neal Thomas and wife, Deanna of Topeka, KS; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Thomas of Lonoke, Ar, 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; six brothers; and husband, Dee Thomas; sons, Michael Dee Thomas and Mark Andrew Thomas, and grandson D.J. Thomas.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 30th, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina. Please keep in mind the social distancing order and allow no more than 10 in the facility at a time.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, April 30th, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the New Talihina City Cemetery with Bro. Danny Harris officiating. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina, Ok.
